- For the moment since the borders are sealed and air travel is curtailed, one can only complete the first two steps of the visa procedure with Campus France.
Please find the visa procedure below (you can complete Step 1 and 2 for the time being, Step 3 for submission to VFS France will open only when the visa services resume).
LONG-STAY VISA
For a period longer than 3 months (90 days), you must complete the Campus France application process prior to applying for the French visa.
To apply for a long-stay student visa, you must follow the step-by-step procedure explained here below.
STEP 1: Online Registration
- Create an account on www.inde.campusfrance.org
- Duly fill in the Campus France form (academic records, language skills, CV+SOP etc.) under I am accepted/Mandatory procedure for student visa.
- Submit your file online.
- Campus France will review your file and give you an appointment date.
- Pay Campus France fees (for payment information, contact Campus France): 16,500 INR http://ifindia.in/payment/
STEP 2: The Academic Interview
- The Academic Interview shall take place online, by one of the modes specified by your Campus France Manager.
- You will be required to appear in person once the office resumes function, with all necessary documents (originals + one set of photocopies), for verification.
- At the interview, you will be asked to explain your reasons for choosing France and the institution where you have been granted admission.
Question 3 - If I take the interview now but my admission gets deferred to the next year, will I have to appear for a Campus France interview again?
Answer - There are two different scenarios:
- If you go to the same school for the same program, you will not have to appear for the interview again.
- If you opt for a different programme next year then you will have to appear for the interview again.
